Marie you are amazing! You are so talented and such a warm and passionate woman. I just wanted to say thank you for my nipple tattoo. I had a mastectomy on my left breast and only now after the tattoo I can truly say that you cannot tell the difference between which breast is real, you did such a great job. Thank you for giving me normal breasts again. ~LS
Marie: I had to share this with you, I went to the endocrinologist on Friday when she examined me I ask if she liked my tattoos. She was like where and I pointed ( to my breasts) and she had to do 3 double takes!! She couldn't believe it!! I gave her your name. ~N.D. ( Post-mastectomy breast reconstruction patient)
Scalp Tattooing or Scalp Micropigmentation is essentially the process of having your scalp tattooed to fill in bare spots and is an immediate solution to hair loss and there’s no invasive surgery, no scarring and no down time. Scalp tattooing can help women whose hair is thinning as well as help men that are totally bald by giving the appearance of some hair and the approximation of a hairline, albeit just a stubbly one. The man in the picture below has no hair on his head, the top and sides were tattooed to give the illusion of a buzzed or closely shaved head. Scalp tattooing can also camouflage scars on the scalp or shade areas where hair is thinning (see below pictures) to make hair appear denser.
Patient's Benefit from Scalp Tattooing (Scalp Micropigmention) for any imperfection affecting the scalp, including:
- Alopecia (hair Loss) Camouflage the symptoms of all levels of alopecia
- Before or after having chemotherapy
- Areas that did not take after hair transplant or plugs
- Camouflage scars resulting from previous hair transplant surgery
- Can hide scars, burns and even birthmarks
- Can simulate a full-front, side and/or rear hairline for men that are totally bald
Tattoos to Help Burn Victims Reduce Visibility of Scars:
Suffering from burns is agonizing and the rehabilitation process is painful. In addition to that trauma, patients are often stigmatized due to the appearance of their skin. Marie has done amazing work with burn victims and the difference is amazing. This patient had burn scars on her face. The correction to her eyebrows made a remarkable difference not only physically but gave her a new outlook on life. Marie is very compassionate and does amazing work.
Skin Camouflage / Scar Color - Skin color loss (de-pigmentation) can occur for many reasons such as trauma from burns or accidents, scars left from any type of surgery or different types of skin diseases. Skin camouflage tattooing can correct or improve the appearance of many types of scars and skin abnormalities. Skin Camouflage Medical tattooing can correct these scars to make them less noticeable.
Patients can benefit from medical tattooing for the following:
- Vitiligo – skin color replacement due to loss of pigment (Must be inactive)
- Scar correction from injury
- Scar correction from surgery such as facelift scars

What our Patients are saying . . .
Cleft Lip Repair (or uneven lips): We realize that living with scars or uneven lips can be difficult and as they are often noticed quickly by others. As you can see in the below pictures, medical tattooing is a great option to balance the shape of the lips and also hide surgical scars as a result of cleft lip surgery.
Micropigmentation procedures can also assist people who have medical conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, those who are allergy prone and visually impaired, making it difficult to apply makeup.
All procedures follow strict guidelines in a safe and sterile environment performed by Marie Barbuto, RN, a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, who is board certified. Marie is also a lecturer for the American Academy of Plastic Surgical Nurses speaking on the topic of Micropigmention for the Breast Cancer Survivor.
I am a 60 year old male. I had small white scars on my neck from burns and very sparse eyebrows. Based on trusted referral, I had cosmetic tattooing done by Marie Barbuto. Marie is a respected authority in this field and a caring and kind person as well. She is not only an expert on the medical side, but a true artist, and that’s key in cosmetic medicine. My wife and I, as well as Marie, are thrilled with the results she has achieved for me. The scars are no longer visible and the eyebrows look real. Good bye eyebrow pencil! You only get one body and one face, so go to the best: Marie Barbuto, RN. You’ll be glad you did. My highest recommendation.
